The I.C.T SMT PCBA Conformal Coating Spray Machine is designed to provide precise, uniform coating on SMT and DIP PCBs. Multi-axis coating robots with adjustable valves deliver high-quality coverage across varying board layouts and material viscosities. The line includes automated conveyors, IR/UV curing zones, and optional vision monitoring to ensure coating quality and production consistency. With PLC and PC-based control, operators can easily manage speed, spray height, curing temperature, and line flow. This coating line supports high-throughput SMT production while maintaining safety and process accuracy.

Multi-Axis Coating Precision

The PCBA Coating Line features multi-axis coating robots capable of delivering uniform conformal coatings across complex PCB surfaces. Each robot supports adjustable spray valves to accommodate varying material viscosities, including UV-sensitive adhesives, epoxy, and solvent-based coatings. Automated height detection ensures consistent coating thickness, while edge recognition prevents overflow or under-coverage. This configuration maintains high precision for single- or double-sided coating, reducing material waste and ensuring consistent quality across diverse PCB types and densities.

Adaptive Conveying and Board Handling

The line incorporates a flexible conveyor system with stepper motor-driven chains and adjustable width to handle PCBs of different sizes and thicknesses. Automated buffer zones and push mechanisms stabilize boards during coating and curing, preventing misalignment or collisions. The system supports vertical lift tables, optional return mechanisms, and real-time PCB position detection through fiber optic sensors. These features enable high-throughput processing while maintaining precise positioning for each board, critical for consistent coating results in SMT and DIP production lines.

Integrated Curing and Process Control

The coating line integrates IR/UV curing ovens with modular zone control and independent cooling areas. Each curing zone is monitored to maintain optimal temperature and exposure for different materials. The PLC-based control system allows operators to adjust conveyor speed, curing intensity, and process parameters in real time. Optional CCD vision systems monitor coating quality, ensuring uniform coverage and detecting defects before the PCB exits the line. This integration of coating, curing, and quality inspection provides a fully automated, high-precision, and repeatable process suitable for large-scale SMT PCB production.

In December 2025, I.C.T successfully delivered three production lines—SMT, DIP, and Coating—to a customer in Saudi Arabia. Engineers conducted on-site installation, training, and commissioning for the client’s team. The customer intends to establish a new ODM factory to independently develop, design, and manufacture PCBs. Earlier, in June 2025, the customer visited I.C.T for equipment inspection, strengthening mutual understanding. After smooth delivery and setup, the client awarded I.C.T engineers an honorary certificate, recognizing their professional service and the reliable performance of the delivered lines.
